About Summer Activities in Colorado Springs

Summer Activities in Colorado Springs?
I'm a nanny for a 13 month old boy. His sister will be off for 8 weeks this summer and will be here Sat afternoon-Wed afternoon. I work M-F, so I only have her 2.5 days. So I need about 12-16 days' worth of fun stuff for her that I can also do with the baby. I'm also ok with some "baby-only" suggestions since I have him 5 days a week, and want to get out of the house and discover! She's 11 (a special needs child). So far, we're planning on going to the zoo, Wilson Ranch pool, the trampoline place (forgot what it's called), and maybe Mr. Biggs. It may be hard to bring the baby to Mr. Biggs, though. Are there other things that both a toddler and a middle schooler can do? I have about 3 hours to do something each day (we have to keep the baby on a good nap schedule). Also, please don't tell me about the childrens museum by the citadel--on my last Q someone did and it's been closed for over SEVEN YEARS! Also, I don't want to drive more than half an hour from Rockrimmon--like I said, I have 3 hours, so I want no more than an hour of driving RT. The 11 year old isn't very active, and her brother is (well active for a baby). I'd like some hands-on activities for both of them, preferably indoors (air conditioning!!!)

I would recommend getting outside to some parks and hiking trails. You and the middle schooler could get some exercise, and the baby would get some fresh air and sunlight. Garden of the Gods has some nice strolling trails, and Red Rock Canyon Open Space is a nice place for hikes as well. Hope this helps!
